We try our best in welcoming our guests to relax and enjoy
The traditional Japanese cuisine in an authentic cultural setting.
Short History of Fukudaya
In l939 Fukuda-ya was found as an inn in Toranomon . The inn was used by Nobel-prize winners such as Yasunari Kawabata (literature), Hideki Yukawa (physics) and artists such as Rosanjin Kitaooji and Isamu Noguchi. The inn was later moved to Kioicho, the area where Shogunate family used to live during the Edo era. In l969 the branch restaurant Fukuden was opened. In l995 Fukudaya went through great renovation. It moved to the present place in 2016. We still greet our guests with the same spirit of hospitality, serving delicious traditional Japanese food in an aesthetic presentation.
